On the Poems of Jiuchenggong Palace

九成宫为隋唐皇家离宫,自唐宋以来,历代诗家多有题咏,或描画九成宫雄峻幽秀的景色,或叙写上皇巡幸游乐的盛事,或抒发古宫荒废的悲凉。这些均反映了湮没在岁月波涛之中的王朝兴废的时代风云和中古历史的文化信息。对于我们认知历史,鉴往思来,增益心志,开拓艺术视野,提高审美情趣具有一定意义。

Jiuchenggong Place was a resort for the royal families during the Sui and Tang dynasties. Since Tang and Song periods, poets of various generations have inscribed many poems, either depicting the magnificent scenery of Jiuchenggong palace or narrating the great events of emperors' visits or expressing the moaning for its desolation. These all reflect the cultural information of the rise and fall of the dynasties and middle-age history, which has been demolished in the tides of the times. To study the poems may help us know about the history, look into the future, enrich the mind, broaden the artistic perspective, and enhance the aesthetic interest.
