古诗英译中意象定位的意图性

Intentionality of image orientating in the Engli sh of ancient Chinese poems translation

目的论是西方翻译理论的一个重要内容。Vermeer和Nord等人的目的论翻译观通过对翻译参与者和文本意图性的分析和解释 ,有力地说明了原文与译文差异的原因。在此视角内 ,通过比较和描写 ,可以归纳出中国古诗中的意象意图性在英译中大致可以采取“变译式”翻译和“不变式”翻译两种策略。

The Sopostheorie is one of the important Wester n translation theories. Such theorists as Vermeer and Nord have had a forceful int erpretation of the reasons for the differences between a source text and its cor responding translated text, based on the analysis of the intentionality of trans lational participants and texts in accordance with the theory. From the perspect ive of the Scopostheorie, the two general strategies——changeful translation an d loyal translation——can be concluded in terms of the English translation of image intentionality in ancient Chinese poems, by means of comparison and descr iption. The translation requires that translators should have powerful interacti onal competence.
