艰苦奋斗是我们党的优良传统与作风 ,它曾经为我党赢得了广泛的群众基础和清廉的党风。但现在 ,有些人认为艰苦奋斗的“艰苦”是生活上的艰苦 ,并把生活上的艰苦奋斗理解为“过苦日子” ;还有些人把艰苦奋斗误认为是对别人的苛刻要求。事实上 ,艰苦奋斗传统具有永恒的时代价值 ,它是我们探求真理、成就事业的必要条件 ,是我们实现现代化和全面建设小康社会的必要条件 ,也是保持我党先进性和实现党的宗旨的必要条件。

Hard struggle, which was popular and admirable among the masses and had a profound understanding by people for its purification in both work and life, is the excellent heritage and work-style of the Communist Party of China. But now some regard it as a way of economical struggle in life, and of leading a hard life, so this is on the contrary to the fact that we are advancing to the happy life; others view it as a strict requirement to colleagues around. Inheritance of hard struggle has a permanent value of times. It is essential for us to explore the truth, to make achievements in our work and modernize our country. Most important of all, it is also a vital role to play for C.P.C to keep its progress and fulfill its tenet of serving people.
