1引言
在大容量离线存储领域,人们比较熟悉的是大容量磁带存储技术和大容量光盘存储技术,这些领域由于Sony、HP、IBM等跨国公司的介入,不仅产品得以在市场上畅销,而且技术上不断更新.
The origin, development process and the latest progress of optical tape technology is reviewed. The optical tape is one of the most competitive technology for volume data storage. More importance should be attached to the optical tape by Chinese science institutes and industries.
