Based on review of the exhibition hall design forthe Yuyao Museum, this paper makes a discussion on preserv-ing and inheriting historic cultural heritage and harmonizingnew building with environment in architectural design. It ex-plores the way and skill to maintain and utilize ancient building,and brings forward a conception of architectural derivation.
