现有的钢轨超声探伤车装有很大的水箱,用来提供水或水和酒精混合液做为探伤耦合剂。如改用超声轮式探头,可不使用耦合剂进行探伤,大大减轻了探伤车的重量,降低了探伤费用,具有较大的经济意义。作者对研制的超声轮式探头的原理,结构和现场试验结果进行了论述和分析。

Usually,there is a tank filled with mixture of water and alcohol,employed as couplant on the ultrasonic rail detect car.The weight of detect car and the cost of detection whould be reduced if the ultrasonic wheel probe was applied withoutcouplant.Hence there is a great economic benefit on the development of the ultrasonicwheel probe.The paper introduces the principle and the component of the wheelprobe and some results of detecting field.
