Thailand invites companies from China and ROK for oil developmentBased on the recent reports from China's official Xinhua News agency, Thailand will invite oil companies from China and Republic of Korea to participate three construction projects in the southern part of the country - refinery, oil storage deport and oil transmission pipeline. PTT, Thailand's large energy company, will soon kick off the joint study of those projects with CNPC and ROK National Oil Company. PTT has confirmed that Thailand plans to invest US$3 billion for construction of a refinery with the capacity to produce 500,000 barrels of oil products per day and another US$881 million for a 1.5-million-barrel oil storage facility and a 260-kilometer pipeline.
