COMPARISON OF AMS ^(14)C AGES OF CORAL REEFS FROM THE SOUTH CHINA SEA WITH ^(230)Th/^(234)U AND ESR AGES

A comparison between 14C(AMS and dilution technique) and 230Th/234U as well as ESR ages of coral reefs from the South China Sea was made. The dating results indicated that the coral reefs were formed during the early to middle Holocene, In addition, some problems related to dating methods are also discussed.
