Based on the survey of phytoplankton once a month from January to December,1988,the paper carries out research in detail on the distribution and the characterustics of seasonal change of phytoplankton in Xiangshangang,Zhejiang.Reports and studies on the red tide taking place in the surveyed areas in late autumn and early winter were made for the first time.
