摘要
沉积物的区域环境污染指示作用归因于沉积物对海洋污染信息的放大作用和沉积物对海洋污染事件的空间统计代表性与时间记录有序性。利用这些独具优势,相对其他环境要素监测,沉积物监测能以较小采样样本和较低采样频率可靠地反映较大时空尺度内海洋环境的污染“气候”变化,即反映区域海洋环境质量状态和趋势变化。针对如何发掘和利用沉积物内潜在的环境指示作用,文中还重点讨论了实施沉积物监测的方法和技术,它们包括确立背景值以判断污染强度,确立时间可比性与空间可比性以判断区域海洋环境质量的时空变率。
The regional marine pollution indicating effects of sediments are attributed to the magnifying function of sediment to the marine pollution information and spacial statistics singifi-cance and chronology significance of sediment to the marine pollution events. The marine environmental pollution 'climate' on a large temporal and spaciacl scale can be reliably acquired with a smaller sample size and a lower sampling frequency in comparison with other marine environmental compartment monitoring. The methodology of the sediment monitoring was elaborated in this paper, covering baseline work and securing comparability of sediment samples for assessing temporal and spacial variability of regional marine environmental quality.
