A brief developmental history of studies on cell cycle and cell cycle control

发现细胞通过分裂的方式而增殖已经有 10 0多年的历史 ,但是直到最近 2 0年才确认了调控细胞周期的分子机制。对于细胞周期调控的研究 ,经历了发现细胞分裂、发现细胞周期和发现细胞周期的关键调控因子 3个时期。这一机制的阐明 ,必然会推动应用研究并开拓出更广阔的空间 ,使人类看到攻克癌症的曙光。

It has been known for over one hundred years that cell multiply through division, however, it is only during the last two decades that it has become possible to identify the molecular mechanisms that regulate the cell cycle. The study of cell cycle control lasted three phases, viz. the discovery of cell division, the discovery of cell cycle and the discovery of key regulators of the cell cycle. These fundamental discoveries may result in broad applications within many different fields and may, in the long term, open a new path for cancer therapy.
