摘要
The present paper summarizes Prof. Kwang-chih Chang's archaeological career all his life in the following ways: approaches of anthropological and other problems; worldwide and integrative perspective in academic pursuits; accomplishments in the study and teaching of Chinese archaeology and archaeological theories; achievements in archaeological researches on the Neolithic Age, Shang and other periods; studies of the Shang king' s pedigree and the then institution of succession to the throne; field archaeological work; services as a bridge between Western and Eastern archaeological and anthropological circles; main publications and accomplishments throughout his life.
