Ideas of Image-numbers Judging from the Book of Change Copied on Silk Excavated at Changsha

摘要 Based on the image*.numbers materials of I Ching learning in Book of Change copied on silk, the paper discussed the image*.numbers contents in the Pre*.qin times and the correlation between the image*.numbers thoughts of the Han Dynasty and those of the Pre*.qin times, further expounded and proved that the “ Gua*.qi ” theory (a theory indicating the correspondence between the hexagrams and seasons) had come into being as early as in the Pre*.qin times. In addition, the paper points out that the interpretations of the first and third line of the hexagram of Qian in Huai Nan Zi Ren Jian Xun , interpretations of I Ching according to the five*.element theory,generation of more hexagrams in a fixed hexagram by scholars of the Han Dynasty, aswell as the correlation between the hexagrams of Qian & Kun and those of Kan & Li asserted by Jing Fang and Xun Shuang, Which can all be traced back to the ancient I Ching learning of the Pre*.qin times. At last, the author concluded all the profound philosophical connotations of Book of Change in current version and materials on bamboo slips and silk root in the ancient image*.numbers theories, thus the I Ching learning and even the philosophy of the Pre*.qin times and the Han Dynasty ought to be re*.introspected, re*.examined and even re*.summarized.
