This paper presents the comparison and selection of bridge types of the main bridge of Yanghe Bridge in Liuzhou at design stage in accordance with the Bridge site natural conditions, construction conditions, economy and time schedule requirements, and timely adjustment of the design with the varied conditions at the site during construction. The selection and adjustment in question amply demonstrates that bridge design is always a dynamic process of design.
