面临知识经济的挑战,大学英语教学也应遵循大学英语课程教学基本要求,树立新的教学原则,更新教学理念,重视学生英语听说能力的培养.利用现代化教学手段,结合丰富多彩的教学活动,开展大学英语教学改革,提高学生驾驭语言的能力,使他们在今后工作中能用英语有效地进行口头和书面的信息交流,以适应我国社会发展和国际交流的需要.

In face of challenge of knowledge economy, college English teaching should follow the basic requirements of the course, set up new teaching standards, change the teacher-center teaching model to students-center model. Teachers should lay emphasis on improving the students' comprehensive ability, especially listening and speaking ability, By using modern teaching facilities, teachers should reform the present teaching to cultivating the students' ability of using the languaeg so that they can exchange information with others both orally and in written form. Only in such a way can they adapt themselves to the development of the society and international exchanges.
