The traditional Chinese ethic thoughts, represented by Confucius, Mencius and Xunzi, are the core of our traditional culture. With the arrival of 21st century, moral crisis has been occurred all over the world due to great impacts of economic globalization. Many sharp-eyed thinkers, statesmen as well as ethicists are well aware that the only approach to deal with the crisis is to learn, inherit, develop and transcend traditional Chinese ethic thoughts with an aim to establish a new ethical system and improve moral standards of the whole nation so as to meet the challenge of e conomic globalization from the ethical level and reshape the national spirit in the new century.
