Implementation of Template Conversion Technology in Networ k MIB

TMN与SNMP网管系统的互操作技术,成为计算机网络与电信网络有效互连的关键技术之一。而网络管理信息库(MIB)包含了管理信息的定义,是网络管理的核心部件。文章分析了委托代理的工作原理,在IIMC研究的基础上,提出了SNMP-TMNMIB的转换机理及其转换的JAVA方法实现,为MIB的开发奠定了基础。该方法替代了手工转换,提高了效率并减少了因繁杂手工工作带来的错误。其显著优点是集中采用一个委托代理实现管理者与整个子网或多个网络设备间的CMIP与SNMP的协议转换,它比在每个被管网络设备内嵌入CMIP代理经济、方便和有效。所采用的映射技术使Proxy具有扩展性,是一种具有实用价值的异网管理技术。

The inter-operation technology between TMN and SNMP network management system is one of key technology in effective connecting in computer network and communication network.However Management Information Base(MIB)includes the definition of management information,and it is the core of network management.This paper analyzes the principle of Proxy,presents a principle to convert SNMP-TMN MIB,and implements it using JAVA.This work provides an efficient method to develop network management MIB.This method improves the efficiency due to replacing conversion by handwork.The primary characteristic is only using one Proxy to implement the protocol conversion between CMIP and SNMP in sub -network and more network equipments,it is more economically conveniently and effectively than inserting one CMIP agent in one managed network equipment .This mapping technology makes Proxy have expansibility,and it is a available network management technology among different network.
