By analyzing the historical connections between art and development of science as well as the essential features of art,this paper points out that the progess in the field of science is the major source and force of art's development.And it also offers an account of the major artistic trends and currents in the information age,advocating that artists should arctively deal with the tide of information and use new ideas and forms to represent the new age.
