The Cultural Significance and Value of the Modern Study on Pre-Qin Ming-Theory

近代先秦名学研究可以说是中国传统文化与西方近代文化从冲突到融合过程的全息写照,直接影响了中国近代文化观念与哲学方法的重建,也是实现中西文化交流会通的一个重要媒介。先秦名学对内承接先秦哲学与文化,进而延伸至中国传统哲学与文化;对外与西方逻辑对接,进而触及到西方近代哲学与文化,成为连结中西文化的桥梁,也使西方近代文化向中国传统文化的渗透成为可能,并影响到中国近现代哲学与文化的重建。

The modern study on the Pre-Qin Ming-Theory can be considered as a holographic reflection of the process of the confilict and fusion between the Chinese traditional culture and the modern Western culture. It influenced directly the re-construction of the cultureal ideas and philosophical methodology in modern China, and is an essential way of the melting and communication between the Chinese and Western cultures. The modern study on the Pre-Qin Ming-Theory internally inherited the Pre-Qin philosophy and culture, and extended to the whole Chinese traditional philosophy and culture; externally it corresponded with the Western logic, and extended to the whole modern Western philosophy and culture. So it can play as a bridge to connect the Chinese and Western cultures, and also make possible the spread of the mdoern Western culture into the traditional Chinese culture. Furthermore, it influenced the re-construction of the modern Chinese philosophy and culture.
