南极绕极波研究综述

REVIEW OF STUDIES OF THE ANTARCTIC CIRCUMPOLAR WAVE

南极绕极波是近年来发现的海洋现象。关于南极绕极波的研究历史虽然很短,但是对南极绕极波的变化规律和生成机制的研究却已取得了许多重要进展,对南极绕极波在全球变化中的作用研究日益深入,成为海洋和大气科学领域的前沿研究内容。根据南极绕极波的主要研究成果,评述了有关南极绕极波的研究进展和发展方向,以促进我国关于南极绕极波及相关海洋和大气过程的研究。

The AntarcticCircumpolar Wave (ACW) is a newly discoveredocean phenomenon. Although the research history for ACW is very short, important progresses have been made on the research of the variation and generation mechanisms of ACW.With the advancing of the research on the role it plays in the global climate chang, ACW has become the front topic in the field of ocean and atmosphere. In this paper, most research results about ACW have been reviewed. Progress and direction for the development of the research of ACW have been concluded. We hope our research will promote the research on ACW and corresponding ocean-atmosphere phenomenon in our country.
