中华砚甲 Cyphogenia(Cyphogenia)chinensis(Falderamnn ,1835 ) 2年发生 1代 ,以成虫和不同龄期的幼虫越冬 .4月中旬至 9月上旬产卵 ,卵期 13～ 30d ,幼虫一般为 7龄 ,幼虫期 330～ 395d ,越冬幼虫于次年 6月上旬至 8月上旬化蛹 ,蛹前期 18～ 2 2d ,蛹期 13～ 16d ,羽化成虫经过 2 70～ 2 95d性成熟 ,开始交配产卵 .食性杂 ,活动有明显的节律性 .

It is known Cyphogenia (Cyphogenia) chinensis completes one generation in two years in laboratory condition.They hibernate with adult and larva of different instars in soil and have generations overlapping.The eggs appear from the mid-April to early-September, the egg stage is 13～30 days.In general, the larva has 7 instars, the larva stage is 330～295 days.The larvas pupat from early-June to early-August.The prepupal stage is 18～22 days, the pupal stage is 13～16 days.By 270～295 days, it has mature sex and begin to copulate and lay eggs.Cyphogenia (Cyphogenia) chinensis is an omnivoraous insect and has clear rhythm.
