DENG Xiao ping is a great son of the Chinese people. Anyone who has rendered an outstanding service to the people will always be remembered. Deng has met the three traditional criteria for greatness with his great accomplishments, great thinking and great virtue. His great accomplishments lie in his historical contribution to China′s reforms. His great thinking is reflected in his theory which now serves as guidelines for China′s development. And his great virtue manifests itself in his moral integrity and charm.
