人类的寓言与民族的寓言——中西荒诞文学价值取向评析

Human Allegory and National Allegory: An Analysis of Value Orientation of Chinese and Western Literature of the Absurd

中国荒诞文学是在西方荒诞文学的影响下形成和发展起来的 ,但两者在价值取向上有着明显的差异。由于历史条件、文化传统和地理环境的不同 ,西方荒诞文学具有人类寓言的特征 ,与具体民族国家的社会背景不构成特定指认的关系 ,而中国荒诞文学则具有民族寓言的特征 ,与中国的社会背景形成明确的特定指认关系。本文拟从中西文化交融和接受的方式的角度 ,对中西荒诞文学不同的价值取向及其产生的原因做出分析。

Chinese literature of the absurd formed and developed under the influence of western literature of the absurd. But there is obvious difference in their value orientation. Because of the historical conditions, cultural tradition and geographical circumstances, western literature of the absurd is marked by human allegory, which does not refer to the social background of specific nations. By contrast, Chinese literature of the absurd is characterized by national allegory, and clearly to be associated with the social background of China. By analyzing the ways in which Chinese culture and western culture are fused and accepted, the present paper tries to comment on the difference in value orientation of both Chinese and western literature of the absurd and to probe into the underlying causes.
