摘要
指出随着计算机技术的发展,CAD、计算机图形图像处理、虚拟现实等信息技术已被广泛地应用于城市设计,这不仅大大提高了城市设计的效率,也不同程度地改善了城市设计的质量。城市设计通常涉及的是三维空间,因此可以采用空间数据的形式进行表达。地理信息系统(GIS)不仅可以为城市设计提供高质量的数据,利用其传统的空间分析功能辅助设计,还可以针对城市设计扩展原有的一些功能。
With the development of informationtechnology, such technologies as CAD, virtual reality,computer graphics and image processing have beenwidely applied in urban design to enhance the effi-ciency and quality of the design. Since city is a 3-Dspace, large volumes of spatial data have to be dealtwith in urban design. As a kind of spatial informationsystem, GIS can not only provide urban design withhigh-quality data and special spatial analysis functions,but also be extended for the practical urban design.On the other hand, because urban design is a compre-hensive art, it requires the integration of GIS, multi-media technology, virtual reality and so on.Furthermore, with the growth of internet and webGIS,public participation based on web will be a trend inurban design in the future.
