根癌农杆菌的不同菌株以及同一菌株在不同生长期产生细胞分裂素的差异很大。其中以T_(37)在发酵53小时产生细胞分裂素的量最大,为每升发酵液相当含189μg激动素活性的细胞分裂素类物质。农杆菌能将T_i质粒转入受伤的尾穗苋幼苗。使其细胞分裂素基因在尾穗苋黄化苗内得以表达,产生了苋红素。

The quantity of cytokinin produced by agrobacterium tumefacien was different in various strains and various growth phases. The strain T37 produced largest quantity of cytokinin after 53 hours fermentation (about 189μg/ L).The agrobacterium tumefacien could transfer T; plasmids into amaranthus caudatus seedlings. The cytokinin gene of T-DNA had been expressed, amaranthin was synthesized in these seedlings.
