Text Interpretations of Reading Comprehension Test—— Chorus of Modernism and Postmodernism

现代主义认为世界和知识是确定的、可预测的、可理解的 ;而后现代主义强调个别性、不确定性、阐释性和即时性。不同的受测对象对同一阅读文本有不同的阐释 ,致使这一测试方式的可靠性受到质疑。

Modernism believes that it is certain, predictable and understandable for people to understand the world and knowledge,while postmodernism insists its four major themes: individuality, indeterminancy, interpretation and immediateness. That different candidates for the reading comprehension test can interpret the same text variously queries the validity of the testing mode. Only when positivism of modernism is mixed with the postmodernism perspectives can reading comprehension testing get rid of its present dilemma in which multi-interpretations of the text influence the validity of the test.
