语言是文化的载体 ,语言与文化密不可分。外语教学从语音、词汇到表达都渗透着异国文化的色彩。语言所传递的文化信息是英语教学中的一个重要组成部分。因此 ,在教学中教师不仅要提高学生的语言水平 ,同时还应有意识地培养学生用英语进行跨文化交际的能力 。

Language is the carrier of culture. Language and culture are so intricately interwoven that they can't be separated. Foreign language teaching is permeated with atmosphere of foreign culture from pronunciation, vocabulary to the expressions. The culture information that language transmits is a very important component of English teaching. Therefore, the teachers of foreign language should not only improve the language level of the students, but also develop the students' cross-cultural communicative competence in English to adapt the development and needs of modern society.
