The Tortuous Development of the Party's Religion Policy (1957-1966)

本文从宗教信仰自由政策的坚持和贯彻、宗教制度民主改革政策的提出和实施、调动宗教界力量为社会主义事业服务政策的萌生与尝试、宗教界国际交流政策的拓展与深化、与宗教界建立统一战线政策的完善与发展五个方面,对1957至1966年党的宗教政策曲折发展的基本情况作了初步探讨。

The Party's religion policy had tortuously developed for ten years, since 1957 till 1966, due to the two opposite developing tendencies of the party's guiding ideology, which were reflected on the religion policy. On one hand, the party's religion policy was continously perfected for the right, on the other hand, there were some tortuosities and faults in the party' s religion policy. The author probes into the basic circumstances of the tortuous development of the party's religion policy in five aspects.
