There are many puns in Romeo and Juliet. The article is to classify, analyze and appreciate the formation and translation of puns in the play. The puns can be divided into three items: the aristocratic literary puns used in the upper class, the slang puns used in the lower class and situational puns. Different puns will have different translations, and there are different cultural and psychological backgrounds behind different styles of puns.
