This paper explores the structure and meaning of such Chinese expressions as “ràng wèi Méi yàn fāng”,“jiē lín the U.S.A.”,“zèng shū Xiǎo wáng”,etc..There are three reasons why the use of the VO+N structure is on the increase:1.The “front weight principle” in Chinese which subjects the VO structure to and simplification.2.The compatibility about the meaning of morpheme and the structure of “connection and projection” which conditions the VO structure.
