作为一种话语分析方法,出现于20世纪80年代初的批评性语篇分析难免存在这样或那样的局限性,这从一开始就引起了人们的注意。近几年对这种方法的批评在不断增加,其中大部分批评恰如其分,很有见地,值得CDA学者认真思考,但也有一些批评似乎有失公允,反映了批评者对CDA的期望值太高。本文以斯塔布斯和威窦森为代表简单评述了人们对CDA提出的一些主要批评。

As an approach to text/discourse analysis, critical discourse analysis (CDA) has been under constant criticism since its emergence in the 1980s. Many of the criticisms are apt and illuminating, but some others are not so fair, showing that the critics might have expected too much from CDA.
