The Use of the Public Choice Theory in the Government’s Economic Functions

公共选择学派主要观点有 :强调个人自由 ,鼓吹市场经济 ,推崇古典学派经济思想 ,坚持自由放任 ,反对国家干预等。现代市场经济国家中政府的经济角色主要有五种 ,即公共物品的提供者 ,宏观经济的调控者 ,外在效应的消除者 ,收入财产的再分配和市场秩序的维护者。政府职能的范围应取决于市场和社会的需要及自身的能力。

The school of public choice belongs to the new liberalism, which emphasizes individual freedom, advocate market economy, praise highly the economic thought of classical school and object to country’s intervening. The government mainly has five kinds economic role in the modern market economy country, namely provider of public articles, regulator of the macro- economy, eliminator of the external effect, redistributing of the income property and guardian of the market order. Ranges of government’s function depend on the need of the market and society and its own capacity.
