This paper gives a brief introduction to WTO dispute settlement system and then directly comes to the theme. It treats comprehensively retaliation, the ultimate means of dispute settlement. Specifically, the paper explicates the status of retaliation in the whole dispute settlement system of WTO, discusses the WTO rules related to retaliation, comments and analyses cross ?agreement retaliation , the most serious means of various forms of retaliation and finally attempts to mention China' s tactics in WTO dispute settlement.
