Any language bears the characteristics of both hypotaxis and parataxis.But various languages differ in a tendency in expression.Chinese parataxis and English hypotaxis embody their differences in the arrangement of ideas in phrase,sentence and speech.Thus,a qualitative difference has arisen between Chinese and English languages.A probe into these differences maks for the study of the contrast between Chinese and English and Chinese-English or English-Chinese Translations.
