The Effect of FDI on Domestic Capital Demand in China

在中国大力吸引外商直接投资时,对国内银行贷款的需求在利率不断下降条件下却缺乏弹性,而且,以相对变化值衡量的收入效应与利率同方向变化,这说明外商直接投资对内资需求产生了抑制影响,是我国内资需求不足的原因之一。我们应该及时修改与外商直接投资相关的政策,对外商资本与国内资本实行非歧视的国民待遇原则,对国内各种性质的资本实行非歧视的"国民待遇"原则,及时修改《指导外商投资方向规定》中以牺牲产业政策为代价的某些条款。

When china is trying to attract FDI,the demand for domestic bank loans lacks elasticity under the condition of continuous interest rate decrease.At the same time, the income effect denoted by relative changing value varies in accordance with interest rate.It shows that FDI has induced constrictive effect on the demand for domestic capital, which is one of the reasons for the weak demand for domestic capital.So we should modify the FDI policies and strategies in time, practise national treatment without discrimination between foreign and domestic capitals and among all kinds of domestic capitals. In The Regulations of Directing FDI, items sacrificing industry policy should also be modified.
