警察体育课在警官院校教育中既是素质教育的重要内容,又是素质教育的重要手段。警体教育的目的是通过有效的手段全面培养和提高学生的身体素质、心理素质、专业技能、体育文化素养以及终身参加体育锻炼的能力。要实现这一目标,就必须充分发挥警体教学在素质教育中的作用。
