在经济全球化背景中,东亚金融危机暴露了东亚汇率体制的严重缺陷,因此建立东亚汇率协调机制,推动区域汇率管理体制一体化,保持汇率稳定对东亚经济体有重要意义。东亚汇率协调机制的不同模式各有利弊,钉住货币篮制度是东亚汇率协调机制的现实可行选择。东亚汇率协调机制的实现要经历三个阶段。从中国参与东亚汇率协调机制进行成本——收益分析来看,中国应积极参与东亚汇率协调机制,为亚洲单一货币的建立作出应有的贡献。

From the background of economic globalization, East Asian Financial Crisis Happened in 1997 exposed serious weaknesses of East Asian exchange rate mechanism, therefore, it's of great importance for East Asian economies to establish the East Asian Exchange Rate Cooperation Mechanism, to promote the regional exchange rate management integration and to stabilize the exchange rate. Three stages should be carried out in order to establish the East Asian Exchange Rate Cooperation Mechanism. The cost-benefit analysis of China joining the East Asian Exchange Rate Cooperation Mechanism shows that China should join it voluntarily and make her own contributions to the establishment of Asian Single Currency.
