摘要
为了解决SNMP大表格读取MIB信息效率低下和空行引起的系统和通讯资源浪费问题,在不破坏协议的前提下,结合一般大型网络设备的实际情况,提出了一个基于XML的SNMP多粒度访问方案.通过定义一组有效的MIB变量和一个精简的DTD文档,针对全局级、节点级和变量级不同的访问粒度,提供不同的访问机制.性能分析结果表明,该方案可以缩短系统的响应时间.
In traditional SNMP framework, GetNext and GetBulk are not efficient to obtain large MIB tables, and will sometimes cause overheads to system and communication due to transferance of meaningless blank lines. With the general characteristics of common complicated network elements well studied, a novel way without altering the protocol, namely the XML-Based SNMP diff-granularity access mechanism is proposed. SNMP agent provides different solutions according to different access granularities including the whole level, node level and variable level. Relevant definitions of MIB and DTD are given out. The experiment results show that the new scheme can reduce system response time.
