多维视角中的语码转换研究

A multidimentional view of code-switching research

本文对国外近三十多年会话语码转换研究做一述评。首先探讨语码转换的定义问题 ,区分“语码转换”和“借用” ,接着从社会语言学、句法学、会话分析和心理语言学四个角度对语码转换研究的主要理论和模式进行了回顾和评析 ,指出其异同、贡献和不足。

This paper provides a critical review of conversational code switching research around the world over the past 30 odd years. It first defines “code switching” and distinguishes it from “borrowing”. Then it critically reviews sociolinguistic, structural, discourse analysis and psycholinguistic perspectives dominating code switching research in the past three decades. Major empirical studies are discussed, their similarities and differences are noted, and their merits and demerits are evaluated. Finally, some issues concerning methodology and applicability of the studies are discussed, and proposals for future research are offered.
