摘要
本文首先简单介绍了否定在语义学中的特点 ,分类及其在语用学中的研究地位 ,然后从认知语言学的角度对否定进行了尝试性的研究。文中重点论述和分析了否定现象的标记性 ,图与底的关系 ,距离相似性 ,语义原型和语义范畴的变化以及否定概念的心理空间等诸方面。论文证明 ,从认知语言学角度来研究否定 ,有助于我们进一步拓宽对否定的传统研究 。
This paper, on the basis of a brief discussion of negation in the field of semantics and pragmatics, makes a tentative attempt to the study of negation from a cognitive perspective. Mainly such aspects as the markedness, the relation of figure and ground, the conceptual iconicity, the semantic prototype and its change, and the mental space of negation are dealt with. The paper shows that a cognitive approach to the study negation may broaden the understanding of the areas studied by the conventional theories, and will further our comprehension of how language conceptualize the external world and of the underlying relationship between language and cognition.
