On the Ideological Trend of the Localization of Artistic History in the New Age of China ——From the Oil Painting Art of Cheng Conglin

历史本土化指的是那些以非现实、非当前的历史题材来进行创作 ,并以此突显艺术家和艺术作品的“东方”、“中国”身份的创作思潮和艺术现象。以程丛林为代表的艺术家们通过自己独特的历史感受 ,创作出了富有浓郁本土化色彩的艺术作品 。

History localization refers to the creational trend and artistic phenomenon based on unrealistic and not contemporary historical subjects to highlight oriental and Chinese originality of the artists and artistic works. Through their unique historical feelings the artists represented by Cheng Conglin have created artistic works rich in local colors and initiated a localized artistic form of Chinese oil painting in the new age.
