新时期高校保卫工作面临许多新的挑战,传统的管理模式已难以适应现代高校的改革和发展的需要。本文就当前高校保卫部门应如何实践"三个代表"重要思想,以应对出现的新情况、新特点和新问题进行探讨,提出了新时期做好高校保卫工作的若干设想。

Security work in higher institutes is facing with many new challenges in the new age. Old-fashioned managerial mode can hardly meet the demands of college reform and development today. This paper makes a probe into how security department in higher institutes carry out the important thought of 'three representatives'to respond to new situation, new characters and new problems, and raises several suggestions to the improvement of security work in higher institutes today.
