诗味是一种非物质体,是潜藏于诗作实体之中的一种精神意绪。诗味是诗歌的精髓。翻译诗文要译出诗味,是文学翻译工作者在实践中一致的至高追求。文章探讨了诗味的涵义与构成以及诗味的传译等问题,旨在为诗歌翻译实践与批评提供可资借鉴的策略与方法。
Poetic flavor is a kind of non-material intent of poetic mind, which lies hidden in the poetic work itself. It is the essence of poetry, and its retention in the poetic translation is the highest ideal for all literary translators. This essay presents a study of the connotation and composition of poetic flavor as well as the retention of poetic flavor in the Chinese—English poetic translation in order to provide some strategies and methods for poetic translators and poetic translation criticism.
