摘要
词汇是语言的重要组成部分,中西方的文化差异在词汇层面上体现得最为突出。因此,在英语词汇教学中加强中西文化背景知识传授、差异的对比是不容忽视的。
Vocabulary is an important component of a language. The Sino-western cultural differencesremarkably display in vocabulary. The article will make a comparison between English and Chinese words, and illustrate the importance of introducing to students more background knowledge and put forward some strategies in English vocabulary teaching.
