“College English Teaching Requirement (on Trial)” and the Reform of College English Teaching

2004年年初颁发的《大学英语课程教学要求(试行)》是当前大学英语教学改革的重要依据和目标。《大学英语课程教学要求(试行)》在界定大学英语教学的性质和目标、三个层次的教学要求、课程设置、教学模式、教学评估、教学管理等方面都提出了具有指导意义的新理念。大学英语教学改革,必须加强全面领导、配套设施建设、师资队伍建设以及对英语教学模式的变革等方面的工作。

College English Teaching Requirement (on Trial)” issued in the early time of 2004 is the important basis and goal for the present reform of College English teaching. With the new concepts, it defines the dimension and the goal of College English teaching, three levels of teaching requirements, the framework of the course, and teaching mode, assessment and the management of the teaching as well. To promote the present important reform, the following aspects should be focused and emphasized: comprehensive leading, building of the relevant teaching facilities, improvement of the personnel and the innovation of the teaching mode.
