Sexual Discrimination Reflected in English and Chinese

运用成分分析法中的特征标记原则 ,以英汉词汇为基础 ,从造字构词、词义泛化、词义降格和词义色彩等方面对英汉词汇中的性别歧视现象进行尝试性论述 ,对英汉词汇中的性别歧视现象形成的原因和变化趋势作了分析 ,并提出几点消除语言词汇中性别歧视的方法。

Using the principle of feature symbol in c omponential analysis, this article tries to discuss sexism among English and Chi nese language from such aspects as word-building, the generalization of semantic s, the lowering of semantics and the color of semantics. This article also makes an analysis of the cause and tendency of sexism among English and Chinese langu age and gives some advice on how to get rid of sexism.
