The comparison research of A Dream of Red Mansions has a distant source and a long steam since the book came into being. Numerous researchers made widespread and profound analysis from different aspects including the comparison of A Dream of Red Mansions and other Chinese literary works, A Dream of Red Mansions and foreign literary works, CAO Xue-qin,the author of A Dream of Red Mansions,and other writers of China and abroad,summarized the proccess of development of literature, researched the characteristic of different age and nations reflected from the comparison.
