A Comment On Chinese New Verse in the Early 20th Century

在20世纪初期中国诗坛上出现了三种流派的新诗：自由诗派以创造完全解放的新诗体奠定了中国新诗的基础；格律诗派总结新诗运动的经验，对白话诗进行了反思与重构；象征主义诗人作为一支崛起的“异军”，为中国新诗开刨了新的诗风。“三大流派”诗人们的共同努力，促进了20世纪初期中国新诗的大繁荣。

There appeared three types of new verse in China's poetry stage: Free verse laid Chinese new verse foundation by the new type of complete liberation. The poets of octave summed up the experience of new verse movements and also had a self-examination and rebuilding. Symbolists set up a new Chinese poetry type as a new force suddenly coming to the fore. The poets of the three worked hard and brought prosperity of free verse in China in the early 20th century.
