We have investigated, by random sampling, 495 cases of tufts, and 643 cases of finger-hair (314 for male, 329 for female) among the Mongolians from all parts of Inner-Mongolia Autonomous Region. The ages of those investigated range between 10 and 25. Among Mongolians the occurrence rate of single-whirlpool is 91.92%, that of double-whirlpools is 6.87%, and that of multy-whirlpools is 1.21% The hair-whirlpools going clockwise make up 68.79%, and those going conversely account for 31.21%. The hair-whirlpools appeat mainly at right back-quadrant (60.22%). The percentage of singlewhirlpools among female Mongolians is a little higher (93.01%) than that among males, but there is no distinet disparity in sex. The proportion of single-whirlpool among Mongolians goes lower than that among Tibetans (95.78%), but higher than the Hans(85.37%) It is found that 100% of Mongolians have finger-hair on the first finger-segment, such is the same as the Hans, but different from Nigerians. The occurrence rate of finger-hair on the middle-segment is 49%, higher than that of the Hans (26%) and Nigerians(21%), but lower than the men of white-race. The same as the Hans, it has not been found that there is any hair on the tip-segment. Here is the sequence arranged according to the proportions of finger-hair on the middle-segments of all fingers: the thumb >the ring finger>the middle finger>the little finger>the index finger. 95.49% is the rate of occurrence of finger-hair on the first-segments of one hand, while that on the middle-segments of one hand is 2.57%
