能源是经济发展的重要保障,现代经济是建立在煤、石油、天然气、水电和核能等能源基础之上的。人类社会在一定时期使用什么能源取决于当时能够达到的科学技术水平。文章针对可持续发展及环境保护对未来能源的需求,以及科学技术进步对能源需求的保障。以科学技术进步对石油储量增长的贡献为例,提出了依靠科学技术进步,推动以能源品种多元化和能源来源多元化为主要内容的新的能源革命,解决能源可持续发展问题,为我国的经济建设和全面建设小康社会提供能源保障。

Energy is the important guarantee for economic development, and the modern economy is established on the basis of energy, such as coal, oil, natural gas, water, electricity, and nuclear. In a certain period, scientific and technological level determines what the energy used by human society. On the premise of analysis of sustainable development and environmental protection for the demand of future energy, and scientific and technological process for the guarantee of energy demand, by taking the contribution of scientific and technological process to the increase of oil reserve as an example, the paper puts forward that to promote the new energy revolution of diversification of energy and energy source should rely on scientific and technological process so that the energy sustainable development problem can be solved, and energy guarantee can be provided for economic development and building a well-off society in an all- round way.
